Supermac Breaks His Arsenal Duck On This Day, 25th August 1976

Arsenal’s then-record signing Malcolm MacDonald was one of the most prolific scorers of his generation in club football. This summer evening saw him open his Arsenal account at Carrow Road.

As an aside, Gerry Harrison was treading a well-worn path from print to television football coverage, later going on to present Anglia TVs equivalent of The Big Match.
