Arsenal’s AGM Sends A Message To The Football Authorities On This Day, 21st July 1931

Having been one of the earliest proponents of live football broadcasts, it was little surprise that Arsenal condemned the actions of the FA and Football League in banning live radio and television coverage of matches.

The club would lock horns on many occasions on this subject, as well as being willing guinea pigs. This AGM resolution came shortly after the club had been fined for unauthorised broadcasts hence the strong language of the piece.
